Step-By-Step Instructions To Manually Calibrate The Zebra ZT211

To manually calibrate your Zebra ZT211 printer, follow these steps:

Manual Calibration Procedure

  1. Press and hold the PAUSE and CANCEL buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds.
    • The PAUSE light will blink yellow.
  2. Open the printhead assembly by rotating the printhead lever upward.
  3. Extend approximately 150 mm (6 inches) of media out of the printer.
    • Remove the exposed labels, leaving only the liner.
  4. Pull the media back into the printer so that only the backing is between the media sensors.
  5. Move the ribbon (if used) to the right, away from the sensors.
  6. Close the printhead assembly.
  7. Press the PAUSE button to begin calibration.
    • The PAUSE light will turn off, and the SUPPLIES light will flash yellow.
    • The process is complete when the SUPPLIES light turns off and the PAUSE light turns yellow.
  8. Open the printhead assembly again.
  9. Reload the ribbon (if used) by moving it to the left and straightening it.
    • Turn the ribbon take-up spindle to remove any slack
  10. Pull the media forward until a label is positioned between the sensors.
  11. Close the printhead assembly.
  12. Press the PAUSE button to complete calibration.
    • The SUPPLIES light will flash yellow.
    • The process is complete when the SUPPLIES light turns off and the PAUSE light turns yellow.
  13. Press the PAUSE button again to enable printing.
  14. Press the FEED button to verify that a label feeds to the correct position.
