Our History
In 1982, Ron Klein founded MIDCOM Data Technologies, Inc. Prior to establishing MIDCOM, Ron had been an executive with Burroughs Corporation, Boeing Aircraft and also a subsidiary of NCR Corporation.
During his tenure with these major corporations, and having the opportunity to meet with leaders from small to Fortune 500 companies, he realized there was a real need in the marketplace for knowledgeable business consultants that could advise management on technology products that would allow their employees to be more productive, lower costs, increase accuracy, and to be more competitive.
MIDCOM specializes in helping organizations with printer, display terminal, and barcoding technology. MIDCOM also specializes in the repair and maintenance of printer and barcode products. Over the years, MIDCOM has shipped over 300,000 products to their clients and has provided repair services to 1000’s of organizations in all 50 states and to all the provinces within Canada.
Today, the MIDCOM Service Group continues to provide quality, on-site and depot repair services for mission critical printers and barcode equipment nationally with a network of over 3,500 certified technicians. In addition to on-site repair services, MIDCOM offers depot repair services at various locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Technology has changed drastically since the founding of MIDCOM in 1982. What has not changed though, is the dedication to be knowledgeable technology consultants to its clients and to offer products and services that will help reduce downtime, increase productivity, increase accuracy, and lower costs.
