Step-By-Step Instructions To Load Media With The Peel Option On The Zebra ZT111
To load media with the peel option on a Zebra ZT111 printer, follow these troubleshooting and reset steps:
- Open the media cover.
- Release the printhead: lift the printhead lever so that the printhead assembly pivots upward.
- Slide the outer media guide fully outward.
- Load the media so that:
- The media passes through the slot in the transmissive media sensor.
- It goes under the inner media guide.
- The media should just touch the back of the transmissive sensor slot (i.e. it’s close but not pushing).
- Push down the peel-off mechanism release lever to open the peel assembly.
- Extend about 500 mm (≈18 in.) of media out of the printer. Remove and discard the labels in that exposed section, leaving just the liner (backing).
- Feed the liner (backing) behind the peel assembly, making sure the liner’s end is exiting the printer (i.e. the liner isn’t trapped).
- Close the peel assembly by using the peel-off mechanism release lever (use your right hand). Be careful — the edges can pinch fingers.
- Slide in the outer media guide so it just touches the edge of the media.
- Close the printhead assembly (lower the printhead lever).
- Close the media cover.
- Press PAUSE to exit pause mode and enable printing. The printer may calibrate or feed a label depending on settings.
- Optionally verify by printing a configuration label (hold FEED + CANCEL for 2 seconds).
