Make sure the printer is configured for “Tear‑Off” as the media handling / collection method. (This is the default and works with most media types.) - Open the media cover and printhead
- Open the media cover.
- Release or open the printhead assembly by rotating the printhead‑open lever upward.
- Prepare the media supply
- Slide out and flip down the media supply guide.
- If using roll media: place the roll on the media hanger, pushing it back as far as it will go.
- If using fan‑fold media: feed it from the rear and drape over the media supply hanger.
- Flip up the media supply guide (if applicable) and slide it so it touches the edge of the media.
- Route the media through the path
- Slide the outer media guide all the way out.
- Feed the media so that it passes through the slot in the transmissive media sensor and under the inner media guide. The media should lightly touch the back of the transmissive sensor slot
- Slide the outer media guide back in so it just touches the edge of the media.
- Close printhead and cover
- Close the printhead assembly (rotate the lever downward until it locks).
- Close the media cover.
- Resume printing / calibrate
- Press PAUSE to exit pause mode and allow the printer to start feeding/printing.
- Optionally, verify by printing a configuration label (hold FEED + CANCEL for 2 seconds) to make sure the media is aligned.
