Step-By-Step Instructions To Unpack The Zebra ZT420
Here’s how to unpack a Zebra ZT420 printer safely and correctly:
- Prepare the area
- Place the box on a flat, stable surface
- Make sure you have enough space (the ZT410 is heavy—about 36 lb / 16 kg)
- If possible, have two people lift it
- Open the box
- Cut the packing tape on the top of the box
- Open the top flaps fully
- Remove top packing materials
- Take out:
- Foam inserts
- Accessory box (usually contains power cord, cables, documentation, media adapters)
- Lift out the printer
- Grip the printer from the bottom, not by:
- The media door
- Control panel
- Any protruding parts
- Lift straight up and place it on a solid surface
- Remove protective materials
- Remove:
- Plastic bag around the printer
- Any foam blocks or tape inside the printer
- Open the media door and check for internal packing foam (very important)
- Inspect contents
- Zebra ZT420 printer
- Power cord
- Documentation / quick start guide
- Any ordered options (peeler, cutter, Ethernet, etc.)
- Save the packaging
- Keep the box and foam in case you need to transport or return the printer
