Datamax-O’Neil Complete List of End-of-Life Printers
Is your Datamax-O’Neil thermal label printer on the end-of-life list?
by Peter Printer
Well, I don’t know about you, but I am always having trouble keeping up to date when it comes to printers reaching their EOL (End of Life) and you-know-who is looking for them. Specifically keeping track of what printer models have been discontinued, which ones are still supported but have been discontinued, and are replacement parts still readily available and is the printhead/data roller supported has never been one of my strong points. The Datamax-O’Neil models that are no longer supported include the DMX 600, DMX 430, Allegro, Titan 6200, DMX 800, Ovation, Ovation 2, WinOvation, Palette, I-4206, DMX 400, DMX2970, E-3202, Passport, and MCL/BaaN.
To remedy this issue, I found this handy reference listing of the all Datamax-O’Neil printers which keeps track for me. It outlines specific dates on when the printer was discontinued, its last ship date, when replacement parts will be available till, how long support will last and most importantly which model is suggested as its replacement.

It is certainly sad when you have to say goodbye to your dear, loyal friend when it has reached EOL. Perhaps that is why I don’t like to keep track? But the time must come and it is in your best interest to find a reliable, new replacement to take their place and carry on.
