March 5, 2014 – Datamax-O’Neil Software Update for RL Series

Datamax-O’Neil has released a software update for its NETira Configuration Tool that provides new features and improved performance.
NETira CT software version 1.0.0.53 adds support for the downloading of Fast Boot Binary Files for Boot1, Boot2 and Binary. This means that users will be able to download the Architecture 2.0 binary file to their printer. However, the ability to downgrade the firmware from Architecture 2.0 to 1.0 has also been added.
A printer file explorer has also been added that allows the user to browse, download and delete files or entire directories on their printer.
A copy function, only available on RL series printers with firmware 8.05 and later, has also been added in the NETira CT upgrade. This gives users the ability to copy system files (Database, CSV, Script, Menu and Configure file) to their printer.
