MIDCOM Data Technologies Names Ken Feinstein President and CEO

ken feinstein

MIDCOM Data Technologies, Inc., parent company of MIDCOM Service Group, has named Ken Feinstein its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Feinstein steps into the role after serving as Vice President, where he played a key role in the company’s executive leadership and helped drive growth across barcode printing, scanning, and on-site repair solutions.

The appointment marks a new chapter for a company that has kept mission-critical printers and scanners running since 1982. MIDCOM was founded that year by Ron Klein, a former executive with Burroughs, Boeing, and an NCR subsidiary, who built the company into a trusted partner serving organizations throughout all 50 states and Canada.

“I am honored to take on the role of President and CEO of MIDCOM Data Technologies, Inc. after serving as Vice President, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation and success of the company. As we move forward, we remain focused on our purpose: We keep our clients running by reducing downtime and increasing productivity.”

A Leader Who Knows the Customer’s Challenges

Ken’s career has been built on one idea: technology only delivers value when it keeps people and businesses running. His focus has been on helping IT professionals overcome the challenges of slow or underqualified service by providing a trusted partner committed to minimizing downtime and increasing productivity.

During his 23 years at MIDCOM, he has held several key leadership positions, including General Manager and Vice President. As a member of the company’s executive leadership, he has helped shape MIDCOM’s strategic direction, leading initiatives across service, sales, and marketing while playing an integral role in the company’s growth and long-term success.
Throughout his career, Feinstein has also served as a public voice for MIDCOM, regularly engaging with customers, partners, and trade media on the evolving needs of warehouse and manufacturing technology. Based in the Detroit area, he now leads the company from its national headquarters in Commerce Township, Michigan.

What This Means for MIDCOM Customers

For the manufacturers, warehouses, and distribution centers MIDCOM serves, the message is continuity with momentum. The same team, the same certified technicians, and the same nationwide on-site service remain in place, now led by someone who has spent years listening to and understanding exactly what customers need.

Under Ken’s leadership, customers can expect MIDCOM to keep doing what it does best:

  • Keeping equipment running with FAST Onsite Printer Repair, EXPRESS Repair Centers, and coverage plans for thermal printers, dot-matrix printers, line printers, and barcode scanners.
  • Modernizing the floor with new and refurbished printers, scanners, mobile workstations, and the latest in wearable technology.
  • Making upgrades affordable through programs like the Zebra GO Trade-In, which offsets the cost of replacing aging printers, mobile computers, and barcode scanners.
