August 29, 2013 – Printronix P5000 End Of Support

The Printroinx P5000 Series is coming near its end of support. Printronix will be ending support for the P5000 Series in December 2013. This means that Printronix will no longer service, support or sell parts for this product series.

The Printronix P5000 line matrix printer was introduced in 1995 and has been a popular seller throughout the years for Printronix. The P5000 Series offered between 500 and 2000 lines per minute (lpm) model configurations, software versatility and the latest refinements in line matrix printing technology. This printer was well built with all its mechanisms housed in a sound-insulated cabinet that really made it operate quietly and efficiently. It also allowed you to add new features and emulations easily as they became available. Printronix offered a variety of models in their P5000 Series including the P5005B, P5205B, P5010, P5210, P5215 and P5220. Printonix has also ended the sale of the P7000 Spool Series line printers. This means they no longer manufacture or sell the printer, although you can still purchase it though resellers until their inventory is depleted.

Printronix also offers the P7000 Cartridge Series, which they introduced in 2010 to replace the P7000 Spool Series. These printers offer printing speeds of 500 to 2000 lines per minute (lpm) and software drivers for Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/2003/2008/7 and other operating systems. It uses cartridge ribbon, which is ideal for high volume report and label printing. The Printronix P7000 Cartridge Series is still a very popular line matrix printer that Printronix offers.

So, in with the new! The Printronix P8000 Cartridge Series is their newest line of printers. Design enhancements and improved functionality help produce the greatest compatibility and lowest cost of ownership of any other print technology. Printronix P8000 Cartridge Series line printer will definitely improve printing operations in any business. It offers between 500 and 2000 lines per minute (lpm) printing and the newest software drivers for Microsoft Windows, XP/Vista/2003/2008/7 and Linux operating systems.
