Your Zebra Printer Has Met “End of Support” Status – Now What?

We’ve written about plenty of printers that have met “End of Support” status, letting you know the latest about the printers you rely on every day, but what do you do in that situation when your printer is no longer supported?
The solution is fairly simple and somewhat obvious even. When a printer meets end of support, the manufacturer has decided that it will no longer provide any support services for that printer. That means that you won’t be able to send your printer in for repair or even have someone come out to repair it on-site. However, while the manufacturer may not support the Zebra printer, service companies like MIDCOM sometimes still do!
This is the unfortunate, but inevitable conclusion to every Zebra printer’s life. Prior to End of Support status, it is common for a manufacturer to announce an “End of Life” status for the printer. While this sounds like the more terminal status of the two, End of Life simply means that the manufacturer is no longer manufacturing this printer, however they will still provide support services. It’s pretty easy to get them confused, but that’s what we here at MIDCOM are here for!

I like to call this reactive learning, rather than proactive learning. Let’s say you have a Zebra printer that recently met End of Support.
