Zebra ZM400 Error Code Warning Head Cold
Caution: An improperly connected printhead data or power cable can cause this error message. The printhead may be hot enough to cause severe burns. Allow the printhead to cool.
Possible Cause: The printhead temperature is approaching its lower operating limit.
Solution: Continue printing while the printhead reaches the correct operating temperature. If the error remains, the environment may be too cold for proper printing. Relocate the printer to a warmer area.
Possible Cause: The printhead data cable is not properly connected.
Solution:
Caution: Turn off (0) the printer before preforming this procedure. Failure to do so can damage the printhead.
1. Turn off (0) the printer.
2. Disconnect the cable.
3. Ensure that the cable connector is fully inserted into the printhead connector.
4. Turn on (I) the printer.
Possible Cause: The printhead has a faulty thermistor.
Solution: Call a service technician.
