Step-By-Step Instructions To Manually Calibrate The Zebra ZT111
To manually calibrate a Zebra ZT111 printer, follow these troubleshooting and reset steps:
Manual Calibration Steps
- On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the PAUSE and CANCEL buttons simultaneously for ~2 seconds.
- The Status and Pause lights will flash yellow once; then the Pause light will blink yellow.
- Release the print-head assembly (flip the print-head lever up so the head pivots upward).
- ull out about 150 mm (6 in) of media so it’s extended outside, then remove the exposed labels so only the liner/backing remains.
- Pull the media (liner/backing) into the printer so that only the backing (no label) is between the media sensors.
- If using a ribbon (thermal transfer mode), move the ribbon to the right (away from the sensors).
- Close the print-head assembly.
- Press the PAUSE button to start the calibration cycle.
- The Pause light will turn off. The Supplies light will flash yellow while the printer performs calibration.
- Wait until the Supplies light turns off and the Pause light turns yellow.
- After the first part, release the printhead again (lever up).
- Reload the ribbon (if used): move the ribbon back to left, straighten it and turn the ribbon take-up spindle to remove any slack.
- Pull the media forward until a label is positioned between the sensors (so that the sensor sees a label, not just backing).
- Close the print-head assembly again.
- Press PAUSE again to complete the calibration. The Supplies light will flash yellow; when it turns off and Pause light becomes yellow, calibration is done.
- Press PAUSE again to exit pause mode and enable printing.
- Finally, press the FEED button to verify that a label feeds correctly (one label advances to the correct position).
