1. Check the Ribbon Installation

• The shiny (ink) side of the ribbon should face down toward the media.
• Ensure the ribbon is tight with no slack.
2. Verify Media Type Settings
• • Go to Settings > Media and Ribbon > set Ribbon to:
  • “Thermal Transfer” if you’re using ribbon.
  • “Direct Thermal” if you’re not using ribbon (and it must match actual usage).
3. Calibrate the Ribbon Sensor
