Step-By-Step Instructions To Install The Cutter On The Zebra ZT211
To install the cutter on your Zebra ZT211 printer, follow these steps:
Install The Cutter
- Open the Printhead Assembly
Release the printhead assembly by rotating the printhead-open lever upward. This will pivot the assembly upward. - Remove the Outer Media Guide
Slide the outer media guide all the way out to provide space for the cutter installation. - Feed the Media Through the Cutter
Carefully feed your media through the cutter mechanism. Be cautious, as the cutter blade is sharp. - Reinstall the Outer Media Guide
Slide the outer media guide back in until it just touches the edge of the media. - Close the Printhead Assembly
Rotate the printhead-open lever downward to lock the printhead assembly in place. - Insert the Cutter Catch Tray (Optional)
If desired, insert the cutter catch tray into the slot on the front of the cutter to collect cut labels. - Close the Media Cover
Ensure the media cover is securely closed. - Set the Printer to Cutter Mode
Navigate to the printer’s settings and set the print mode to “Cutter” under the “Label Position” settings. - Exit Pause Mode
Press the PAUSE button to exit pause mode and enable printing. The printer may perform a label calibration or feed a label, depending on your settings. - Calibrate the Printer
For optimal results, calibrate the printer. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on calibrating the ribbon and media sensors. - Verify Printer Functionality
To verify that your printer is able to print a configuration label, hold both the FEED and CANCEL keys for 2 seconds.
Important Safety Notes
- Avoid Contact with the Cutter Blade: The cutter blade is sharp. Do not touch or rub the blade with your fingers to prevent injury.
- Allow Printhead to Cool: The printhead may be hot and could cause severe burns. Allow the printhead to cool before handling.
