Zebra ZT211 How To Load Media With The Peel Option

To load media with the peel option on the Zebra ZT211 thermal label printer is fairly easy and can be done within minutes.

Watch the video below.

Step-By-Step Instructions To Load Media With The Peel Option On The Zebra ZT211

To load media into your Zebra ZT211 printer with the Peel-Off option, follow these steps:

Loading Media In Peel-Off Mode

  1. Open the Printhead Assembly
Press the printhead open lever to release and lift the printhead assembly.
  2. Slide Out the Outer Media Guide
Extend the outer media guide to its maximum width.
  3. Insert the Media
Feed the media under the printhead assembly, ensuring it passes through the transmissive media sensor slot and under the inner media guide. The media should just touch the back of the transmissive media sensor slot.
  4. Open the Peel Assembly
Press down the peel-off mechanism release lever to open the peel assembly.
  5. Extend the Media
Pull approximately 500 mm (18 inches) of media through the front of the printer.
  6. Remove Labels
Remove and discard the labels from the exposed media, leaving only the liner.
  7. Feed the Liner
Feed the liner behind the peel assembly, ensuring the end of the liner falls outside of the printer.
  8. Close the Peel Assembly
Use the peel-off mechanism release lever and your right hand to close the peel assembly. Avoid using your left hand to assist in closing, as the top edge of the peel roller assembly could pinch your fingers.
  9. Adjust the Outer Media Guide
Slide in the outer media guide until it just touches the edge of the media.
  10. Close the Printhead Assembly
Lower the printhead assembly and ensure it locks into place.
  11. Close the Media Door
    Securely close the media door.
  12. Exit Pause Mode
Press the PAUSE button to exit pause mode and enable printing. The printer may perform a label calibration or feed a label, depending on your settings.
  13. Verify Printer Operation
Press and hold both the FEED and CANCEL buttons for 2 seconds to print a configuration label, verifying that your printer is able to print.

Important Notes

  • Printhead Safety: The printhead may be hot and could cause severe burns. Allow the printhead to cool before handling.
  • Peel Assembly Operation: Use only your right hand to close the peel assembly to avoid injury.
  • Calibration: Perform a calibration if necessary to ensure proper label alignment and sensor detection.
