Step-By-Step Instructions To Load Media With The Tear Option On The Zebra ZT211

To load media into your Zebra ZT211 printer using Tear-Off mode, follow these steps:

Loading Media In Tear-Off Mode

1. Insert the Media
   Place your roll or fanfold media into the printer. Ensure that the media passes through the slot in the transmissive media sensor and under the inner media guide. The media should just touch the back of the transmissive media sensor slot.
2. Release the Printhead Assembly
   Rotate the printhead-open lever upward to release the printhead assembly.
3. Adjust the Outer Media Guide
   Slide the outer media guide all the way out.
4. Position the Media
   Thread the media under the media dancer assembly roller, the media guide roller, and then the upper media sensor. Push the media forward until it passes under the printhead assembly, under the snap plate, and then over the platen roller.
5. Secure the Outer Media Guide
   Slide the outer media guide back in until it just touches the edge of the media. Tighten the thumb screw located on the bottom of the outer media guide.
6. Lock the Printhead Assembly
   Rotate the printhead-open lever downward until it locks the printhead in place.
7. Close the Media Door
   Close the media door to secure the media in place.
8. Set the Printer to Tear-Off Mode
   On the Home screen, touch Menu > Print > Image Adjust > Media Handling. Select Tear-Off mode.
9. Exit Pause Mode
   Press the PAUSE button to exit pause mode and enable printing. The printer may perform a label calibration or feed a label, depending on your settings.
10. Verify Printer Operation
    For optimal results, calibrate the printer. Then, verify that your printer is able to print a configuration label by holding both the FEED and CANCEL keys for 2 seconds.
