Step-By-Step Instructions To Install The Peel Option On The Zebra ZT411 and ZT421
To install the peel option on the Zebra ZT411 and ZT421 printer, you will typically need to follow these steps:
- Power off the Printer
– Ensure that the printer is turned off before making any changes or additions.
- Access the Printer’s Top Cover
– Open the printer’s top cover to gain access to the printhead and media path.
- Remove the Media and Ribbon
– If you have media (labels) or ribbon loaded in the printer, remove them so that you have more room to work.
- Install the Peel Module
– The peel module typically comes as an accessory. You should have received a peel-off mechanism when purchasing the printer or separately as an accessory.
– Locate the peel option attachment on the printer. It will typically be installed on the left side of the printer, near the media path.
– Slide or snap the peel option into the designated position. The peel module should fit securely into place. Make sure it’s aligned properly and clicks or locks into position.
- Reconnect the Media and Ribbon
– Once the peel module is installed, reload your media and ribbon back into the printer.
- Configure the Peel Option in Printer Settings
– Once the peel module is installed, you will need to enable it in the printer settings.
– You can do this by accessing the Zebra Setup Utilities software on your computer or using the printer’s built-in menu:
– For Zebra Setup Utilities:
– Connect your printer to the computer.
– Open Zebra Setup Utilities, select your printer, and choose “Configure Printer Settings.”
– Under the media settings, enable the peel option and save your configuration.
– For Printer Menu (via the control panel on the printer):
– Navigate through the printer’s menu to find “Media Settings.”
– Enable the peel option (it might be listed as “Peel Off” or something similar).
- Test the Printer
– Once the peel module is installed and configured, perform a test print to ensure that the peel feature is functioning properly. The printer should peel the label from the backing and hold it for manual removal.
- Adjust the Peel Sensitivity (Optional)
– If necessary, you can fine-tune the peel sensitivity using the printer’s settings or through the Zebra Setup Utilities software.
If you don’t have the peel option installed yet, you may need to purchase it separately.
